What Makes A Tropical Rainforest?
Rainforests are in a group around the equator. They are mostly in the area between Tropic of Cancer which is 23.5 degrees North latitude and the tropic of Capricorn which is 23.5 degrees South latitude. Seasons in the rainforests are divided into a dry and a wet season. They each last six months.
The wettest part of the season is between December and May. Up to 6 to 12 feet or more of rain can go on during this wet season. The driest part of the season can be June through August. During this they only get 6 inches of rain. A best time to vacation would be the dry season.
You will need a nice rain jacket since it still rains pretty good out there during the majority of the year. You can mainly wear shorts because it rarely gets higher than 93 degrees and drops 68 degrees.
